The Kymenlaakso Museum in Kotka, Finland, has commissioned this project. This project involves developing a virtual museum showcasing Kyminlinna, a fortress in Kotka, Finland, with over 200 years of history. Currently, the fortress is only accessible through guided tours,  however, it is possible to visit it virtually through a webGL tour. It was done using a 360 camera and developed by Dark Amber Softworks with XAMK CIRU. The purpose of the virtual museum in comparison to the existing virtual tour is that the virtual museum features the 1800 version of the fortress. The 3D assets for the historical buildings within the fortress were created by referencing the original building plans from the 1800s. Unlike the webGL virtual tour version, the Kyminlinna 1800 virtual museum will be installed in the Kymenlaakso Museum, where visitors can access it through a large touchscreen.
